Marin Trušelj, co-founder of the IT company STEMI, visited Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. Within the project "3DandVRforVET" he met with the general project manager Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić and Kristina Hlavati Bertoncelj, expert associate for international projects and programs.
STEMI is a domestic project that is initially funded through a crowdfunding campaign, and over 50 robots have been donated to Croatian schools. Through project development and previous experience, STEMI has moved into a startup company with notable international success at the largest consumer electronics show in the United States - CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2017 in Las Vegas. The STEMI team has successfully developed and commercialized the STEMI Hexapod - for learning robotics and engineering.
Future cooperation within the project was agreed, as well as the possibilities of connecting and exploiting project results. The common premise of both partners is that education is the foundation of every society and the visions of both partners on the importance of early acquisition of knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence, robotics and engineering are complementary.
Visit to the Industrial - Craft School Pula was also organized, where the previous results of the project were presented and the potential directions for future cooperation.
