The consortium is led by the University of Cork (Ireland) and the total value of the project is 1,498,312.00 EUR; and the Juraj Dobrila University in Pula participates with 164,875.00 EUR. The project lasts for four years, the project manager for the University is Ivona Peternel, PhD.
The project partners are, in addition to the University of Ireland and the University of Pula, the University of Liege (Belgium), CERTH (Greece), the University of Macerata (Italy), the Polish Institute of Nuclear Physics Henryk Niewodniczański of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polytechnic University of Bucharest (Romania) and CERCA (Spain).
Research management as a profession is almost invisible in politics, career advancement and internship opportunities across Europe. The Cardea project consortium will develop support to address this inequality. Expected project results are mapping of existing provisions on research managers (RMs) across the EU, developing a maturity model of capacity to assess the level of development and capacity of institutional and organizational professionalization of resource management as a European social ambition for equality, diversity, inclusion and expanding participation in all professional activities of the RM.
