The final conference of the project "3D and VR for VET Technologies" within the Erasmus + program was held on 28th April at the Veteran Community Center in Pula. The international project with a total value of more than EUR 200,000 is coordinated by the Juraj Dobrila University in Pula.
The conference was opened with a welcome speech by Assoc. Prof. Valter Boljunčić, Vice Rector for Cooperation, Innovation and Technology Transfer. He underlined the importance of the project's theme, which emphasizes new technologies for vocational education. Ivona Močenić, Deputy Mayor of the City of Pula praised the activities of the University and congratulated on the successful project and results. Patricia Percan, Head of the Administrative Department for Education, Sports and Technical Culture of the Istrian County, expressed satisfaction with the level of interest and response of students to the final conference.
Speakers at the conference were Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić, Ivona Peternel, PhD - Head of the Office for Partnership and Projects of the University of Pula; Damir Godec from the University of Zagreb and Željko Krnjajić from the Croatian Robotics Association. Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić premiered a 3D walk of Pula's attractions and announced that it will be a gift to the City of Pula for the celebration of the City Day.
Project partners, Medical School Pula and Industrial Craft School Pula, as well as Technical School Pula, the Pula Gymnasium, Vocational High School Silvije Strahimir Kranjčević Livno presented themselves at the project fair. The fair was also supported by the Foundation for the Promotion of Partnership and Development of Civil Society, the City Society of the Red Cross Pula and the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired. The conference was also attended by representatives of project partners University I Sorost Norge (Norway), Universitatea Technica Cluj Napoca (Romania) and the Mediterranean Institute for Life Science (MediLS).
The main goal of the project is to spread knowledge to students, professors and other enthusiasts in the field of new technologies, CAD modeling, 3D printing and virtual reality. Special focus is on target groups: technical and vocational schools.
The main idea of the project is the development, design and transfer of innovative specialized skills and tools used in the field of additive technologies, robotics and virtual reality in the vocational education sector through the development of specialized education modules.
