SHORT PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The GENESIS project develops advanced methods for applying generative artificial intelligence to model, execute, and optimize distributed information systems based on business processes. The goal is to create a new human AI collaboration framework that covers the entire information system lifecycle, from initial process and data structure modeling through automated, real-time execution to continuous analysis and improvement proposals.
The project includes the development of a modular execution environment in which AI agents participate in generating user interfaces, processing textual and voice queries, classifying events, and making recommendations. Special emphasis is placed on generating BPMN models and UML structures from textual descriptions, as well as on the dynamic creation of ephemeral, task-adapted user interfaces.
GENESIS introduces algorithms for decentralized process orchestration across multiple organizations, grounded in the principles of autonomy, security, and minimal data exchange. A meta-AI layer will also be developed to analyze execution data, identify bottlenecks, and propose optimizations with explainable visual and textual explanations.
Validation of results will be carried out through case studies in healthcare, education, and supply chains. The project results in scientific publications, open-source software components, an expanded research infrastructure, and practical tools for designing future AI-augmented information systems.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The objective of the GENESIS project is to establish an advanced framework that integrates generative artificial intelligence into all phases of the lifecycle of business process-based information systems. The project aims to improve the way organizations model, execute, and adapt digital processes, creating systems that are more flexible, intelligent, and better aligned with user needs. The focus is on developing a methodology that enables artificial intelligence to actively participate in the design process and data models, generating user interfaces in real time, and making contextually relevant recommendations.
GENESIS strives to create an environment in which business processes can be designed and executed faster, more intuitively, and with less technical overhead. Generative models will be used to transform textual descriptions into formal BPMN and UML structures, reducing the need for specialized expertise and accelerating system development. At the same time, dynamic interfaces tailored to the current task and user profile will enable more accessible, efficient interaction with digital processes.
As part of the project, a concept of decentralized process orchestration is being developed that allows collaboration among multiple organizational entities without a central intermediary, while ensuring trust, security, and minimal data exchange. In parallel, a meta-AI layer is being built to continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize process execution, with the goal of identifying inefficiencies and proposing improvements.
The project also includes a systematic evaluation of user experience to ensure the clarity, accessibility, and real usefulness of AI-generated recommendations and solutions. The research results will serve as a foundation for developing a new generation of information systems that naturally combine human knowledge with generative artificial intelligence, contributing to the scientific community, industry, and the broader digital transformation.
