SHORT PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project focuses on the development of an information model on the financial and non-financial sustainability of entities in the entrepreneurial, governmental and non-profit sectors, based on artificial intelligence methods and techniques. An intelligent open source information system will be developed for automated data collection, analysis and reporting, thereby intensifying informed processes of responsible decision-making based on available information in real time, while periodic reporting is often reduced to meeting regulatory provisions. The models will include new indicators as an added value to standard regulatory requirements. The platform will use advanced machine learning and natural language processing to process structured and unstructured data, providing stakeholders with useful insights through intuitive dashboards and predictive analytics. The scientific contribution is reflected in the structuring of a modern sustainability information model supported by artificial intelligence. Key indicators of financial and non-financial sustainability will be identified, systematized and integrated into the information model. The application of the developed platform prototype will strengthen partnerships with the economy and the public sector, thereby achieving an applied contribution to the goals of the NPOO. The project supports the digital transformation of the reporting process, promotes sustainable and inclusive business practices, while the processes of digital and green transition and transformation are the backbone of the NPOO. A high-quality information base will enable timely and targeted decisions by the management and all stakeholders, which will contribute to smart, sustainable and inclusive growth and development.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The aim of the project is to develop a model for informing internal and external stakeholders about the financial and non-financial sustainability of entities in the entrepreneurial, governmental and non-profit sectors, based on the application of methods and techniques of conversational artificial intelligence. By applying digital technologies in the development of an accounting system of financial and non-financial sustainability indicators, an innovative platform will be created that will significantly contribute to the transparency, reality and reliability of financial and non-financial sustainability reporting, enabling the availability of the necessary information in real time, up-to-date and efficiently. An intelligent open source information system for automated data collection, analysis and reporting will contribute to creating a realistic and objective overview of the certain entity sustainability.
The aim is to improve and modernize traditional reporting systems by transforming them into models for informing stakeholders in real time about all relevant aspects of financial and non-financial sustainability. Specific goals are:
- Objective 1: to develop a methodological framework and a software module for the application of natural language processing (NLP) models on unstructured data from financial statement narratives, sustainability reports and other publicly available sources (eg. registers, portals, databases);
- Objective 2: develop a platform based on conversational artificial intelligence - design and create a scalable open source platform for automated financial and non-financial sustainability reporting,
- Objective 3: identify and systematize key indicators of financial and non-financial sustainability,
- Objective 4: develop a model for analyzing structured and unstructured data for comprehensive financial and ESG reporting,
- Objective 5: contribute to the improvement of sustainable business practices and strengthen the cooperation with the economy and the non-profit sector by providing the created model for all interested,
- Objective 6: transfer knowledge by maintaining appropriate educational programs for the implementation of the developed model in everyday business practice, as well as by modernizing the content, learning outcomes and competences within the framework of study programs,
- Objective 7: contribute to the implementation of sustainability policies and the goals of the NPOO by linking digital technological innovation with sustainability goals and contributing to smart, sustainable and inclusive growth and development through informed and responsible decision-making.
